Get started with SSL certificate monitoring
Monibot monitors the validity and expiration date of your SSL certificate.
Create a certificate in Monibot
- Log into your Monibot account. If you don't have one, register now, it's free.
- In the main menu, click on the 'Certificates' link. Here you'll see a 'New Certificate' button.
- Click the 'New Certificate' button and enter the data for your certificate:
- The name, for example 'www.mysite.com'. You can chose any name here, it's used only for display.
- The address, for example 'www.mysite.com:443'. The address is a hostname:port combination. The SSL standard port is 443. This is the address Monibot will load your certificate from.
- The number of days you want to be notified before the certificate expires.
- Click 'Save'. Your certificate is now ready and Monibot will check it regularly. When the certificate is about to expire, Monibot will notify you.
